People argue about everything now a days. Everyone wants to be right in the relationship, but you only need one argument to ruin it all. The hurtful things that are said between to people are harder to heal from than what you are arguing about. In order to avoid the argument you have to first be willing to put your ego aside. Here are some things you can try when you feel it's coming.
- Take a day to think about it before discussing the problem. This will give you and your mate time to weigh out the situation.Simply tell your mate" I am not sure how I feel about this subject right now can we discuss it tomorrow." However, you need to be sure to follow up the next day.
- You may also want to take a warm shower. This will help to relax your mind and body before having a serious conversation. While sitting in the tub you should be able to figure out the best way to approach your mate with the problem. Remember to always avoid words, or phases that lead to accusation, or blame.
- Tell your mate " no argument can make me not love you, so go ahead and yell at me." This should melt they're heart enough to make them think about they're approach.
- You should just listen and except so that you better understand what the real problem is. Then you will know who to respond.
- Take a long drive and don't come back empty handed. Sometimes a gift and at least get you listening to reason.
